How borrowing works

Thanks for wanting to borrow one of my books! A few small things so everyone gets to enjoy them:

Picking up and returning

  • Borrow up to 2 books at a time. Plenty to keep you busy!
  • I'll bring your book to the meetup you picked. Meetups are almost always on weekends. If something comes up and you can't make it, just give me a heads-up and we'll find another time.
  • Bring it back whenever you're done, at any meetup. There's no due date, but about a month is a nice rhythm so others get a turn too. Need longer? Just ask.
  • If someone's waiting for it, I might send you a gentle nudge. No pressure, just so you know someone's excited to read it next.

Looking after it

  • Please treat it kindly. Use a bookmark instead of folding the corners, don't write in the margins, and try not to break the spine by bending it back too far.
  • Keep it safe from rain, coffee spills, and hungry pets.
  • Want to pass it to a friend? Point them to the site so they can borrow it themselves.

If something happens

  • Accidents happen, so just let me know. I'd much rather hear about it than find out later.
  • If it's badly damaged or lost, we'll figure out a replacement together. A bit of wear and tear is totally fine; books are meant to be read!

Keeping it fair

  • Requests are first come, first served. Occasionally I might not be able to lend a book, and that's nothing personal.
  • If pickups get missed or a book disappears for a long time without a word, I may pause borrowing for a bit.

After you've read it

  • I'll send you a link to rate it, if you'd like. It helps the next reader decide, and I love hearing what you thought!

Happy reading!
